First off i'm a newbie!! Second i have a dvd burner tdk880n, I just purchased x copy platinum. No instructions no nothing. I have ripped & burned 4 disks, and have come up with nothing that will play in anything Period.. Please help me,i have just dn/ld dvd shrink,the latest ver. and i am reading a lot about nero. it seems the two go hand and hand. Could someone please help me on this. hi ctryboy yes dvd shrink can interface with nero to remove human error. heres a good guide for us newbies.http://www.dvdshrink.info/guides.php heres one that doesnt move..http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/user_guides.htm oh yeah and one more tip,get yourself some rw's till you get it figured out,them some expensive coasters your making. the only thing i know about that program x copy platinum is that its not free! oh i almost forgot when you bring up shrink click on edit/preferences/file i/o/enable burning with nero. good luck to you and keep us posted happy trails jim
If you don't have Nero and are burning -R's you can use burnatonce (free and nice for audio too) to burn your Shrink files to DVD. http://www.burnatonce.com/ http://www.dvdshrink.info/burnatonce.php
Thanks for the info Jim. I finally ripped & burned one, and it turned out fine. It plays on my computer but not on my dvd player. I guess it doesn't support it. anybody have any idea's. Also one more thing, I have avi files on my hd, can I burn them using nero, if not what program?
Some of the players will play + r's some will play -r's,the newer ones play both.The -r's, being the older format,is more compatible but not by alot. Some will play certain types of media,some wont. You can try Nero Vision Express for your AVI's. It's worked for me, but I always get some silly menu.
