burning dvds

    i have been burning dvds for a short time but now when i goto burn it says power calibration error what does this mean

    what brand of media r u using?
    Stay away from Memosux

    mirror discs cheapo ones could this be the problem

    YESSSSSSSSSS! YOU GOTZ IT! buy Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden, Sony, Maxell.... made in Japan... those are the best disks and you won't get Calibration errors. here is a media guide for you:

    just know the rule of Made-In-Japan and you'll be ok.... but Verbatim is top notch and is the only exception to that rule. Their Singapore/Tawain made disk by Mitsubishi Chemicals are top notch (MCC).
