I have been burning DVD'd for a long time, all of a sudden they are failing. I have not changed media or burners, I usually use dvd shrink then nero, sometimes i use Rip it for ME, same result either way. Same problem with multiple movies. I was hoping that someone could look at the failed burn log and tell me what went wrong, thanks in advance.

    Hi jsbeckton
    Here's some suggestions:

1st edit out the serial # at the top of the log - begins w/ 5C. Don't need someone else using it.

    Nero API version: 7.0.1.4
Nero can use an update - there's quite a few fixes and enhancements since the version you are using. The latest is 7.10.1.0

    CdRomPeripheral : HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-H21L atapi Port 5 ID 0 DMA: Off
Turn DMA back on for the drive - here's a guide.

    Recorder: <HL-DT-ST DVDRRW GSA-H21L>Version: L602
Update the firmware -the latest is L702.

    Physical memory : 958MB
    Free physical memory: 43MB
    Memory in use : 95 %

Way too much memory in use. Free some up - close any unneeded programs. If you haven't recently do a disc defrag, disc cleanup, registry cleaner and virus scan.

Give that a go & let us know.
