for some reason when im trying to burn kvcds using nero. evry disc fails to burn right at the end, i think its when its finalizing the disc. i have tried playing them and they are ok till the end...any ideas whats going wrong? your help would be most appreciated. it is a fairly new burner and up until now i hadnt had any problems.
plus i suspect bad media among other things. download dvdinfopro (free) and run a disc thru it's media info check and paste results here
im using nero 6.6.0.1.3 Format Capacity Blank Disc Free Blocks 736960512 Free Capacity 702.82MB(736.96MB) Media Type CD-R ATIP Start Time of Lead In (Media Code) 97m32s19f ATIP Last Possible Start Time of Lead Out 79m59s71f Manufacturer Name Prodisc Technology Inc. let's have last section of Nero log, it's in C:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log. All burns good and bad are appended to this log so paste the last section MINUS the serial numbers which usually begins with '1A21' or similar
heres the log you asked for and thanks for helping. Well there are a few thing wrong with your log. Lets hit the first one that pops right out This is more than likely your main problem. You don't have enough space on the disk you are writing on to complete the task. It looks like you are using a CD-RW? which will not hold as much as a CD-R. Either make the file smaller or burn the file to a CD-r. This is also a little problem, but probably nothing to do with the problem you are having at the moment You need to enable DMA mode on all those drives.. Check out this link for instructions http://home.comcast.net/~bbmayo/checking DMA.pdf Also Turn Off overburn mode in Nero. This will also stop this from happening. Cheers
bbmayo's back! @manc123 - - newer version US06 of your firmware is here - http://forum.rpc1.org/dl_firmware.php?download_id=2011 - close more applications to free up more memory, you're in virtual memory territory which means your hard disc will be 'swapping', therefore interfering with the burn - see bbmayo's comment re overburning - oops that won't work!, you got hardly any free memory above, and your system can't even give you any virtual memory because you've ran out of disc space too! - slow it down to say 24x
try running ccleaner to see if can clear some room up on your hd http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner.html
thanks everyone for your help, looks like a mixture of probs then not enough memory hdd space and burning too fast. cheers guys
