Hi! I'm having these weird problems when burning data-CD's in Nero 5.5. First of all audio CD's burn ok and work well, but when I try to burn data-CD's, the process halts at around 3-5% and gives the following error messages: Illegal mode for this track Invalid write state Could not perform EndTrack Burn process failed at 16x (2 400 KB/s) These error messages started to appear after I upgraded my ASPI drivers. Before that I was getting even more error messages though =). So if anyone knows a solution I'd be glad to hear it! Here's my specs: AMD Duron 850 Abit KT7A 256Mb RAM ATI Radeon 64MB DDR LG 40x/12x/40x CD-RW TDK CD-R74 CD's
Just recently, I started having a similar problem with Nero 5.5. Audio cds still burn fine, but when I burn mp3's to an iso disc, some of the files are burned repeatedly and in place of other songs. No error messages and the cd plays fine. Don't waste time trying to find info from Nero. Can anybody help?
I had and still have the same problem not only with Nero but as well with Easy CD Creator 5.x, Accoustica MP3 Burner, Alto CD Maker just about any and every CD burning app out there keeps returning the same error..Only happened AFTER installing the ASPI updated drivers.. Possible maybe remove the ASPI drivers and go back to ATAPI drivers?
Yup, I'm getting this now when I try to make a vcd with nero 5.5 however it was working yesterday haven't got a clue why this is happening???? (burning audio is fine though??)
I have exactly the same problem, I just bought a new writer.. First I thought the writer was not working, so I went to the shop to get another one, but I still have the same problem. Does anyone know where to get these working drivers?
You upgraded with Adaptec ASPI? It has overwritten the Ahead ASPI. Get the Ahead ASPI from Nero.com and copy it to Nero directory.
I think I have the same mobo as charger, and I found the solution. I manually disabled ultradma for my writer in my bios. Everything worked fine after that...
