So I just downloaded some Gamecube .iso's from a torrent (Twilight Princess and Metroid Prime 2) and I am trying to burn them to a DVD+R to be played on the Wii, but the problem is that it won't work.

First off, I heard that Gamecube games can be burnt onto regular sized DVDs and be played on the Gamecube (with the top removed), so I decided to play them on the Wii (since the slot allows DVDs). For the DVD+R part, I'm just clueless as to why the Wii won't accept the disc. Do I need a DVD-R disc or something? If I have to get some DVD-R discs, I'm planning on getting DVD-RW (for rewritable purposes) .. so will Gamecube games will work with that?

    Thanks.

Why are you even attempting to play a backup of a gamecube game on a Wii? To even play them on the Gamecube you need to have it modded or by using one of the soft mod methods. So I highly doubt you are going to get a backup of a Gamecube game to run on the Wii at all unless they come up with a mod for it or if there is a softmod way of doing it.

Alright, cause I heard somewhere that it was possible to burn it without a modchip. Is there any other way to play the games other than using mods or an emulator?

Well GC iso's can be burnt to full size DVD. the case wont let them fit in, you need a replacment case. Also the wii cant play copied games (yet). I would try DVD -/+ R's as RW disc sometimes cant be read. You will need a mod chip or softmod you NEED one those.

What about running the game off the Wii using an sd card + action Replay and SD Loader? Would that work? I have everything I need to try it except for a gamecube controller.
