how would i do this? i have the game files and it comes out to be much larger than the average dvd-r. after searching through the threads, i stumbled across bulgabutt and tried deleting the files that are mentioned in there that need to be taken out. am i doing this wrong somehow? any help is appreciated. thx.
Either use a dual layer disc or remove/downsample movie files on the disc. If you want to use a normal DVD-R, rather than just deleting the files that balugabutt has listed, replace them with the 0 byte video files that are on that website. It'll prevent a dirty disc error.
you go ahead remove what listed in balugabutt's deletion page .if you don't see the files that listed in your game , don't worry just delete what you can find , just try to play with it anyway . good luck !
thanks guys. the changing movie files to 0 kb worked pretty well sofar. they atleast fit on disks now, but every once in a while i'll get a dud..... so i'm gonna pickup some DL i think. that seems to be the easiest option.
http://www.balugabutt.com/xoops/modules/news/ there is the site mentioned above that can tell you what should be deleted to shrink a game to fit on DVD5
