does anyone here burn backups using an i-mac with a dvd-burner? just curious... don't really feel like spending the 200 or so bucks for a burner, and a friend already has a burner on his i-mac. what software would you reccommend for i-mac users??? thanks-

    How to do DVD’s

For those that need help with a mac

You need to use Toast Titanium 5.01 or 5.02
    Open toast

If you just have a superdrive

    1. Select image copy
    2. insert DVD game
    3. Save as image
    4. Record image (don't use burnproof)

(note you must have enough space on your hard drive to do this)

    1. Select image copy
    2. insert DVD game
    3. Click on record
it will ask you to place in a blank DVD-R When ready

(note you must have enough space on your hard drive to do this)

If you have a DVD-RW and DVD-Rom drive

    1. Select image copy
    2. Drag DVD to window
    3. Click on record

I have burned at 2x on apple branded and pioneer media with no problem 4.37Gb took about 28 min

    Found this here: http://www.cdrom-guide.com

Don't have a superdrive, so I don't know if it'll work. Let me know if it does.

first of all, thanks for the usefull information, but I still have some questions:
the backup I want to burn is not an image but some folders and files (3.83Gb) All the howtos I found were with an image.. Do I have to burn the files in a special mode ?

One of the files is called SYSTEM.CNF inside it's written: VMODE = NTSC
is it possible to change only this to change zone ?

If the DVD is in zone two, maybe it could be possible to launch the game only with a gameshark2 ? I don't think so

So I would like to buy this USB Modchip (on modchip.com), is it All-Playstation2 Compatible ?

I have an iMac2 with superdrive DVDburner, is it better to use toast on osX or virtualPC and a pc DVD burning soft ?

Thank you very much in advance
