BURNING GAMES WITH DVD DECRYPTER AFTER MY SOFTMOD CHIP HAS BEEN INSTALLED

I READ SOME OF OTHER TIPS IN HERE ON HOW TO BURN USEING DVD DECRYPTER BUT WASN'T FOR SURE IF THE PROCESS WAS THE SAME FOR XBOX AS PS2 AND I DIDN'T KNOW IF THE DIRECTION IN HERE WERE FOR AFTER THE CHIP WAS INSTALLED I DID IT THAT WAY AND BURNT GAME DIDN'T PLAY?

I'm not sure about ps2 as I dont do those but when I back up my xbox games I just burn the iso image onto a dvd-r using dvd decryptor and it works everytime. But just so you know that the soft mod is not a chip as such, its a piece of software that lets you play copied games etc. i hope you didnt pay a lot for someone to do this as it takes about 2 mins to do.

so has has your xbox been modified? does it have a chip or just soft ware in it? dose it make a difference with the backing up process? i read another one that said you pick mode-iso-read them pick write and burn it but when i did that disk didn't play? you know what i might be doing wrong? and yeah probably payed to much for that but now the guys wants to sell me games for $10each and i have dvd decrypter and a burner so i'm just trying to learn how to do it myself

It sounds like you are doing it right, on dvd decryptor you goto (as you said ) mode > ISO > write then just locate your iso file. I set the speed to lowest x2 and have never burnt a bad disk yet.
I have an x3 chip installed in mine so i can turn it on or off depending if i want to go on live or not. With the soft mod you cant go on live unless you uninstall it but again that takes about 2 seconds to do.

Just make sure it is an Xiso, you can't make it a regular iso...or it won't work.
Use a program like Quix or Craxion to make Xiso's then you can burn them with whatever program you like. Just goto "burn iso" mode, low speed like 2x and make sure you finalize it.

 

Well, sorry for laughing. I just hear softmodding halo all the time (which is not the terms) but hearring softmod chip...sorry I lost it. But hopefully I helped you understand what the difference btwn softmod and hardmod is Sorry and have a nice day

you don't make the .iso's xiso's, you make the folder and xiso, or folders or whatever.

Anyways, I dont know where qwix can be found, but try going to http://www.craxtion.com. You will have the choice of the newest version 4.0 or something like that, or older versions. People say there are many bugs w/ 4.0, but I haven't ran into any, but if you get the newer one and it doesnt work, try going back to the site and getting an older version. Then, if you need a tutorial on how to use it, you can go to either Ca$h's site in his sig, or pimpdawgs and techiniiques site. If you dont wanna find their sigs, here:

They both have good tutorial. Team Modders is great for hard modding...well just xbox modding period. Xbox is good for softmodding and halo 2 modding. Hope this information helps and makes up for my outburst earlier.
