I have captured an MPEG2 file and the incoming signal was in NTSC format. I would like a copy of it in PAL format. Folks at Hauppage! have told me that the MPEG2 computer file is neither NTSC nor PAL format. What format is it in then? Secondly, if I burn this file with Nero and set the format option to PAL, will I then get a working disk ready to be played in a PAL DVD player? Any help will be much appreciated. Thanks.

You should re-encode it with TMPGEnc. If its 23.97fps or 29.97fps, its NTSC and 25fps is PAL. TMPGEnc will allow you to change from NTSC to PAL easily.

I'm not sure if Nero would encode that file for you but if it does it would most likely do a bad job. Plus, you would need the nero mpeg-2 plug-in.
