I am using Prassio Primo 2.0 and was wondering how I correctly burn a .iso file to a cd.

I downloaded a 630 meg <namehere>iso.exe. When i double click on this file a small DOS window opens up and quickly crashes. >RIGHTCLICK>PROPERTIES reveals the file I downloaded (WHich i should mention was a back-up file for Neverwinter Nights after I lost my original game CD 2 while moving) was a NeverwinterNightscd2.iso.exe file.

    So my question is this:

How do I burn this to a disk so i can install the cd2 along with the other 2 originals on my new computer (which im using now and am so impatient).

Please help! I need my NWN...

you should get winrar (www.winrar.com) you can open .iso files with it and so you can extract them to another file from which u can put them on cd

Rename the file to .ISO and use any of the method posted in the 'Quick guide..'.

Before that, do a scan for corruption with CDMage (you never know...)

statler, what insane things are you talking about? WinRAR cannot open ISO but only compress them.

Delete the .exe to end up with .iso

Delete the .exe to end up with .iso at the end of your file.

Uhh, you CAN open, read, and extract files from uncompressed .iso images with WinRAR. the .exe extension is usually used to mask the file to be used with some filesharing service, BUT, it may also really be an .exe (aka, VIRUS). Just be carefull.

I must admit I was wrong. Usually when I double-click from WinRAR window on a .CUE, my PC opens it with ISOBUSTER.

But I searched in WinRAR help wile and I saw that it supports also .ISO images.
I checked and yes, WinRAR is able to open .ISO images. Please note that WinRAR will open ONLY STANDARD .ISO IMAGES (extracted 2048 bytes/sector). RAW images (extrated 2352 bytes/sector) cannot be open with WinRAR, so you people will need another tool to open them(Isobuster or CDMage for instance).

BTW sorry, statler. You were right and I was too overconfident.
