For nearly a year I have been simple ripping what I wanted with DVDShrink and backing them up DVDDecrypter with NO issues. Now sometime over the past few months I installed NERO and I now get this: W 01:07:36 Failed to Write Sectors 0 - 31 - Unknown (Write Error) (0x0C, 0x80) W 01:07:43 Retry Failed - Unknown (Write Error) (0x0C, 0x80) ect... I have completely uninstalled anything Nero (including all registry entries), and DVD Decripter, then reinstalled Decripter and I get the same thing!! I just updated the firmware and that did not help either. I have a HP Pavilion P4-HT 3.2/512MB/XP Pro/20G free... My drive: HL-DT-ST DVD+RW GCA-4040N 1.19 (ATA) ((just updated to firmware V 1.19 from 1.15)) I need some help, HP (India) told me first to BUY (?!?!) a new drive(I have the accidental damage warranty!) Then new software (contradiction?)! I spent two hours on the phone with someone that knew less about computers than I do! He wanted me to test the DVD burner by trying to burn a small data file to DVD using drag-and-drop which isn't even possible in XP and I had to break it to him! Ahhg! Sorry to vent! Help PLEASE!?!?
shrink and decrypter are no longer updated and cannot handle the latest encryption use dvdfab decrypter to rip and then shrink for iso and burn using nero or dvddecrypter.
