I noticed lately alot of .mkv movie files wich are usually 720p, I was wondering is there a way to burn them to dvd with out losing any quality, I've been using ConvertXto DVD 3 but it seems theres quality loss is there anything else i can use?

If you play the resulting DVDs using a regular player, you have no choice but to lower the quality, the players cannot handle 720p.

Just burn them to dvd as data - Isn't that all it takes?

What are the capabilities of the PS3 when it comes to playing media?
You didn't really say. Come to think of it, you didn't even mention
the PS3 in your original post.
