hi all, i 'acquire' movies that are usually AVI(around 700mb) i can burn them as data, but prefer to convert them to DVD using convertxtodvd to view on my home cinema system. problem is i am only getting stereo sound from. should i be looking to 'acquire' a different format of movie?....or is there something i can do with settings to acheive 5:1 sound? thanx in advance
some of the avi files that are 2 cd" will have the 5.1 or 6 ch, alsothe bigger files would be 1.39gb, also depending on where you are geting the files from,if they are torrents get the dvr files, most of the times you will get the 5.1 or better audio.
thanx jdmercer, the files i have been acquiring are torrents, (wasn't sure of legality of mentioning them) you say get the dvr files, do you actually mean Dvdrip files? dvr is an entirely different thing. i have been getting only dvdrip files, but when i am converting them using convertxtodvd3, i look in the 'tree view' while its converting and see AUDIO (1stream) [DEFAULT]AC3,2ch.-button text:"AC3,2ch." i have found this with all dvdrip from 'oxo' any more idea's or recommendations?
