    I don't even know if this question should be posted under the "Audio" or "Video" section so please bear with me chaps.

    I'm running Nero 6 (very new user with VERY limited experience in burning) My problem - Is it possible to just burn just the music from a Mpeg? And if so how? Everytime I try I seem to burn the complete video which is not much use as I want to play it back in the car. Any (simple plain talking) help would be very much appreciated folks. Please don't laugh, it's all new to me!!! All the best, cheers.

    get a program called TMPGEnc, load it up, skip the wizard bit, then go to file, mpeg tools, then simple de-multiplex, load the mpeg file then run, and it should divide the video and sound, leaving you a mp2 file, then all you need to do is change the extension of the file from mp2 to mp3.

    Jakks, thank's very much pal, the funny thing is I was looking through all the old postings last night and came over this one which you also had a hand in way back in August;

    I've done everything you said and it's worked fine mate, trouble is now though it's still saying it's a movie clip, even though it's just the music, like you said. Is this the part where I should then convert it and if so how do you convert MP2 to MP3? Or should I just record it like this?

    Totally hopeless and lost!!!!
