burning mpeg-4 movie

    I am rewording my previous problem cos I think it was nonsensical.
    How can I burn to DVD am mpeg-4 movie and add subtitles. I tried virtual dub, subtitle workshop and aviaddxsub but nothing worked.
    Could you pl help?

    If you try to burn to a DVD and watch using a standalone player, unless your player supports mpeg-4, you need to use a program like DVD Flick and convert the video/subtitles to DVD.

    Thanks mate. It worked fine.
    BTW I am all confused: In what format are DVD's burned? To play on a stand alone player I mean...

    They are in DVD-Video format, which is mpeg-2(VOB).
