    Hey kids,

I have recently decided to start backing up a lot of my Divx episodes that I have collected over the years, and would like to place them on a player viewable DVD for backup.

I have tried many things, such as converting the .avi files into MPEG-1 (I get tons of errors if I try to convert to MPEG-2, and never works out...) and also converting the sound to 48,000Khz.

I suppose my main problem has always been Spruce Up, since everytime I go to load the files as media assets it freezes, gives me error messages, and so on.

If anyone could guide me to a successful process in which you have converted DIVX movies into MPEG format and burned them onto a DVD for player viewing I would greatly appreciate it. There are way too many details to list all the things I have tried...but any general suggestions as to how I can accomplish this goal would be awesome. Thanks!

    My first time here. ;0)

Ok this is what i do.

Using Tmpenc 2.58, I use the wizard to creat a PAL dvd.

Load in the avi, select aspect ratio, i.e. Full screen (keep aspect ratio).

    then just encode it.

Use Spruceup to crate a "dvd" and burn onto dvd using primo dvd.

    Hope this helps
