I have 2 halves of a film on .AVI fomat that I would like to join then shrink to fit on one DVD (from 5.4Gb to 4.7Gb).

I was advised to use VDUB to join the 2 .AVI's 1st then save as 1 .AVI file, then open this in DIVx to DVD, convert it and save in DVD structure format, then Burn with NERO.

Problem is (although I have now succesfully installed VDUB) I dont know how to use it to Join the 2 .AVI files.

Also When I try to burn DVD VIDEO with Nero and play it on my DVD player instead of actually playing the DVD it just displays the file structure.

I was also advised to use Nero Vision express but have been unable to find a correct Keygen / serial for it.

I have used Super DVD creator in the past to join .AVI's and burn them as a single DVD but unfortunately Super DVD creator uses its own format (.VOB and .AC3) so if the resulting joined Video needs shrinking DVD shrink will not recognise the format as it seems to require a (Video_TS an Audio_TS) DVD structure with which to work!

A solution to this would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks.

How about using nerovision express - it does exactly what you're trying to do.

@Shadow001 - i thought i was seeing things when i didn't see my reply on this thread, then i realised you've multiposted; i've reuquested the other one be closed here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/239737 ...and pasted my reply from there to here...

hi, one thing to try would be to use DivXtoDVD (look in software section at top of page) to convert the 2 avi's into 2 sets of VOB files (ie 2 video_ts directories) then try this to join the two directories - http://www.videohelp.com/forum/archive/t222659.html

@Shadow001 - pls post LAST section of your Nero log, which lives in c:\program files\ahead\nero\nerohistory.log, dut DO NOT post your serial number which usually begins with '1A21' or similar....
