I am wondering about how it will work, once I convert the .AVI files to DVD format.
I got the first 10 episodes of 'Lost' and would like to burn them, but exactly how would I go about doing that after converting to DVD?

Well you may want to try WinAVi for your conversions.

Then you'll need an authoring software for your burns.

There are way too many authoring softwares out there.

1.You can google "dvd video authoring software"
2.Check the Guides Section here at AD for numerous excellent guides.
3.Check the DVD Authoring Forum here at AD.( and sticky threads)

I like to use Adobe Premier Pro, and Clone DVD 2 and DVD-lab Pro just to mention a few as well

    Good luck!

    hi

you can use divxtodvd (free) for quickness to go from avi to ifo/bup/vob (dvd structure) which can be burnt to disc and play (no menus!)

to compile (all episodes) / compress (dvd5 size) / burn / use:

dvd shrink to add all clips and compress to size, then set dvd shrink setting to use dvd decrypter to burn (both aps free)

all clips will play one after the other this way!

after all compiled use the output files from dvd shrink load to:

tmpgenc dvd author (not free! maybe demo though?? not sure) for basic menus..
