if it is possible, what is the best way to convert .ogm files to a dvd so that i can watch it on a dvd player and be able to change audio channels and subtitles?

a little extra info if it helps, the .ogm files i am burning are anime files that have japanese and english audio as well as english subtitles that can be turned on or off (when watching on pc at least)

Use ogmdemuxer to demux all the streams. Convert video to m2v, audio to ac3, subtitles to something your authoring app supports, author and burn.
