My only problem is that I don't know which datatype to choose when burning PC games. I've tried Normal CD and Customize so far and ruined 2 CD's, so I'd rather just ask than waste all that time and discs.

I've only been using this program for playstation games (with no problem in that department), but recently I want to burn my PC games in CCD format and I need to burn them in order to play (I know I can use DAEMON tools and a no-cd fix, but I want to learn how to do it this way anyway).

    Can anyone help me?

use "aray scanner" to determine what type of protection the game has, once Aray detects this use the datatype to select the type of protection.

Be warned that Alcohol does not support the newer protections. You will need third party apps to play your backup.

I downloaded a program called ProtectionID before, but it did not scan CCD files (primarily it scanned EXEs). The game in question (among others) that I'm trying to burn is in CCD format...will Aray Scanner be able to scan those kinds of file formats?

Okay...well I downloaded the Aray Scanner, but it only scans CD's. My game in question isn't on CD, I have the CCD file and I don't know which datatype to burn it to CD in order to play it. That's my problem, so the scanners aren't gonna help me.

And this game is old, so I assume Alcohol will support it.
