I am trying to burn photos to a cd-r and play them on a DVD to a TV. I am using Nero 6. I burned them using SVCD Video. The Cd is fine and it works on TV except that I have to manually advance each picture. Is there a way I can burn the photos and have them play sequentially, like a slide show, without having to manually advance each one

I would try VCDEasy. But you have some work to do, first. You have to make some 'MPEG Stills' using VCDEasy's (1st column, 2nd button) Tools__MPEG Stills (4th button of 1st raw)___Generate after having loaded ('Browse') any photo and chosen the correct sets (PAL/NTSC, MPEG Still Type, etc.), then in 'Interactivity' window - fourth button of first raw - (you have chosen 'Interactivity' on Main menu - first button of first raw of the (S)VCD window, 1st column, 1nd button, isn't it?) of the (S)VCD menu, you check that 'Play Once' then 'Wait 2 sec', 'then on timeout' (next photo) are set. After all this work, just press 'Go' and you'll have a .CUE/.BIN set you can burn with any software you like (or, if your burner supports CDRDAO, you can select the Burner as CD Writer instead of 'Virtual Image Recorder' in the Main window (again, 1st button of 1st raw) of the (S)VCD menu.
It's a little complicated, but the result is what you want!
