    What type of files are they? DVD complient files(IFO/BUP/VOB)?

    Are they AVI files?

    Are these downloaded movies?

    Movies you riped from DVD to your hard drive?

    You need to give a little more information.

    Most likely you have AVI files. The only way your DVD player will play them is if you have a DVD Player that is compatible with AVI(Xvid/Divx) files.

    Most DVD players are not compatible with these formats. But some are. In order to play these files on your DVD Player you will need to use a program to convert them from AVI to DVD compliant files.

    Below are 2 different programs you can use and each is linked to a guide.

    Nero Vision Express(comes with Ultra/Premium Editon)

    ConvertXTODvd (Is a pay program)

    @hancockd

    If your not trying to hijack the thread then what do you call it?

    Start a new thread for your particular problem.

    Plus do some searching on the site there are plenty of Threads that have been started with the same problem you are having. A little research goes a long ways.
