Over the past few months I have seen many complaints about processes taking forever (Taking hours to burn or rip) though I had not experienced one myself. Until now. I had some ripped muvees on my hd and decided to burn them to dl as well as 4.7. Being lazy I just used the usb cable that came with my Iomega cd burner from 10 years ago. It took decrypter almost 3 hours to burn a Lord of the Rings. Turns out, I was using a USB 1.0 cable. As soon as I switched it the next LOTR muvee took 30 mins. Just thought I would share my sudden revelation.

Yup, USB 1.0 can be bottle neck, sometimes. High memory and CPU load can be the problem too. Check out for other processes memory and CPU utilization in Task Manager before you start ripping or burning.

You're lucky to be able to burn at all with usb 1.0 cable.
