I have burned dvds and music cds with no problem, tonight I went to burn some photos into a cd and I got an error " could not perform end track" Here is the log, please help since I don't have a clue. I have not downloaded any patches or other burning software.I am using Nero ASPI as usual. I selected cd as the media in Nero. Here is the log. I have TDK CD RW I have not burned this media on this burner but this is a newer burner.It says DATA CD-RW by TDK but it is a older pack.
Sorry to tell you the bad news, but your burner does not support those discs.It doesn't matter if it is a newer burner, old dics, whatever. It just does not recognize them, does not have the codes in the firmware to read/write them properly. A firmware update might fix that, if not you need new discs. Check OfficeMax and see if they still have the sale on Verbatim.
Ok,I decided to burn the photos on the newer DVD MEDIA, I have burned DVD'S before with this drive and this media. The burn failed again twice at different speeds.I have not changed the Nero software at all, all the sudden I am getting these errors.I heard that You have to be really careful with firmwares because the may fried your drive. hello guys, i'll be really thankful to you if you help me with my cd drive. I got toshiba laptop and it has MATSHITA DVD ROM. i used to make cds and dvds before but for last few weeks i am unable to do this. it can play dvds but cann't open or burn any data cds. The software is already updated. When i put any data cd, it starts formatting but unable to format and shows me empty. Anybody knows wht to do now? i m already went out of the warranty. looking forward to get a quick reply.
