Hello to all, I'm new to your group. Can someone tell me if there is a program in the NERO product line that will allow me to burn movies from unprotected DVD's into a format that will play on my Epson P-2000?

How about into an AVI file for my SAMSUNG I-730 phone?

thanks in advance to a newbie

NeroVision 4 will allow you to export movies/slide shows in different formats. Such as the NeroDigital MP4. The device seems to take many different formats so you would have to decide what you needed, but at least MP4, mpeg-2, and DV-AVI type 1 and 2 are options. It also has a custom settings for MPEG-1, MPEG-2, and AVI. I have not tried these, but they are available. Be advised that NeroVision 4 seems to be having some problems with transcoding .avi files right now--don't know why. It may be able to convert them, but again I have no experience.

For the phone, if you have Verizon, you probably won't be able to transfer the file to it, because they lock the phone for the multi-media aspects. But many videos are already encoded as an .avi. What type of file do you have you want to turn into an .avi?

There are also some how-tos on this forum about doing what you are asking about, check the guides.
