I am trying to use 3 burners of different speeds and models to burn a GREAT MANY data cds using Nero 6. The multiple recorder option works great except for the fact that during the actual burning process, Nero says the max speed that can be used is 4X. I need help either configuring my drives (2 internal, one firewire) so that I can get them all to burn at a higer speed. I'd like to get them all at least 12X (the speed of the slowest drive) Any help would be AWESOME!
I would first recommend making sure you have the lastet version of the Nero software, and the latest firmware on your recorder. Then you need to do some trial and error testing to find where the problem lies. First try with only two internal Recorders. Both on seperate IDE busses preferably. And see if you can obtain sustainable MAX write speeds. Then add the Firewire device and see what speeds you get. And if there is a difference, try a different combination. Meaning one Internal and one Firewire. Basically, you need to see where the problem lies. Is it with the internal drives configuration, or is it something to do with the FireWire controller, bridge, or it's drivers. Regards, Craig
