Burning Video Issues

    Ive been burning for a while learning the ropes and i find myself lost i had been using nero for a while to burn videos and i found that some files would not transcode and freeze my computer then i find avi file can have 2 audio streams ok fine i burn on nero i dont get any sound someone here was able to answer that and recommended convertxtodvd which i used and it work i could select what audio stream i wanted and now i find that convertx is able to burn the files that nero doesnt do why is that if nero is soo good why cant i do this on it what am i doing wrong i enjoy nero cause of all the tools it offers im still amazed at being able to put my own audio tracks and title on the disk cool!! but i cant always use it 1 because i cant select audio streams and 2 cuase it wont burn some files and my other burner does what im i doing wrong..

    my specs

    dell xps m140 i know obselete....
    xp media center
    1 gb stick & 256 mb stick ram
    1.73 ghz pentium
    8x dvd burner no dl

    Let ConvertX convert the problem AVI's then take the output and put it into Nero with 'Enable Smart Encoding' ticked. Now do what it is you want Nero to do.

    Nero could be having problems with the audio codec that the AVI file has. Maybe Nero does not support whatever audio codec is used in the AVI file.

    I have found a few different AVI files that Nero has had problems with.

    That is 1 of the main reason i went to ConvertXTODVD. Have never had a problem with that program converting the files.
