i want to burn a movie i have to a cd-rw. the cd i have has memory of 700MB/80 min. and the movie is 699MB so it will fit. the movie is in .avi format.
when i try to copy it i open the movie in windows media player and select copy to cd or device. then roxio pops up saying that will burn it to a cd for me. but it also says that the file format is not supported for burning.it's .avi

should i just change the format with WinMPG converter and what should i convert it to?

Any burning software should be able to copy the .avi data file to your CD.

The real question is: Will the file actually fit on the CD? What I mean is that some space is taken up in the formating of the disk to hold data. So, is there really enough space available on the 700MB cd to hold a 699MB file after formatting?
