Burning Xbox games

okay yea i'm a newbie to burning games but not to online forums and google, i've been on a bunch of different sites all with conflicting instructions and outdated posts. Basically my main question is how do i get around setting the booktype if i have a burner (NEC 3450A and Sony DRU 710A) which aren't supported by imgburn, what other alternatives are available. I understand setting the booktype to dvdrom ensures compatibility but has anyone tried not setting it and had success?? If anyone has a 2007/2008 instructions for burner that would be awesome..my hard drive is filling up with all these diff xbox softwares and i've yet to burn a game! oh and yes the xbox is already modded. i have a benq drive as well from what i understand its one of the newer drives maybe this means i don't need to set the booktype i'm thinking? Pls any suggestions for pointing in the right direction would be great.
