Hey I just bought a divx player that plays xvid as well. I have a 1.2gb xvid file I would like to put on dvd-r so I can watch it on my new player. My question is how do I burn it and could you recoomend programs that will burn it, preferable not nero.

he dont want to convert it,he wants to burn the dvix file straight onto dvd disk

well i was going to suggest using nero, because thats what i use,but you did say "preferable not nero"
give it a try,.... using nero express, and burn it as [bold]data[/bold].
you can burn more than 1 avi file onto the dvd disk,as many as you can fit on the dvd in fact
you can rename the avi files before you burn them (keep the [bold].avi[/bold] extension tho),this way, when loaded in the dvd player,it will show you a list of whats on there

not sure of any other apps,as nero is the only one i use for burning data files

    good luck
