Burning zipped & rar files

    I have lots of stuff like programs and some games and stuff that are zipped and also are rar, and I would rather burn em to DVD cause cd's dont hold as much. Can this kinda of data be burned to DVD's? I just dont want to waste one to find out lol. Thanks
