I recently purchased an "unlocked" GSM phone from TigerDirect.ca. Unfortunately, the phone was not actually unlocked. The box was sealed with "No Return If Opened".... so as soon as you open it to see if the phone is OK, you're hooped. Just wanted to let others know that TigerDirect.ca cannot be trusted!
I have bought many computer items from tigerdirect.com with no problems in the past. Have you called tigerdirect to see if there is a code you must enter to activate the phone? I remember when I sold my old phone on ebay, I first had to call sprint, and to unlock it all I had to do was enter my phone number as the code and it worked fine. so many there is just a code you have to type in...so call tigerdirect and see what they say. even if its not returnable, you might be able to exchange it for another one if it doesn't work. AND there should be a warranty with the phone itself, so you should be covered either way.
