I personally have never bought a pc before, my dad always waits till black friday and buys the cheap emachines pc, for $200. I heard pricewatch was the best place to buy a pc, so I researched, and am now thinking about this.
I don't mind not it not having an os, but I think I am going to get vista for it (separately). Is this worth the cost or is it crap (should I wait for the Kentsfield to lower in price)? Oh i want to play games on it too.

the best thing to do is to build your own. it's really easy, and the more money you're spending, the more you save by doing it yourself.

however, if that isn't an option and you want a gaming machine, you should try alienware. if not, go with a more namebrand machine, like an HP or Dell.

and stay away from Vista, really, or you're going to surrender a lot of your digital abilities.

and don't bump after a just a few hours. wait at least a day or two.

At the most I will have about $500~$550 to spend on the machine though. Will I still be able to get a Core2duo rig with semi decent parts for that much?
