Buying a new DVD/recorder/player for TV

    I have a Pioneer DVR 531H DVD Copier/Recorder and am going to get another on for my bedroom. I have been very happy with it.I hear Pioneer is no longer going to make them. Any suggestions on another brand?

    Hi there,

    When I bought my 1st DVD Recorder, it was important for me to have a hard drive in it.

    I was tired of VHS tapes, and having to forward and rewind the tapes because wife wants to watch somethings, and not watch my stuff etc..

    LG 250GB HDD/DVD Recorder ([bold]LRH-539[/bold]) is the one I have.

    LG 250GB HDD/DVD Recorder ([bold]LRH790[/bold])

    This is a new model, and this one seems to be doing HD (1080i)

    But I love mine to death, specially because of the 250GB HDD.

    I am not sure of the model #, but you can get pretty much the same thing but without a HDD so it will be less expensive !
