hi i own an ATI RADEON X600.i found that i need a better card to play battlefield 2.so if i get a radeon that has an x in the beginning does that mean that i dont have to change my motherboard because i dont have that kind of an option.
It all depends. I hate making assumptions, but I will assume that your motherboard has an AGP slot and not an PCIe slot. ATI makes a number of video cards that have the X designation, but some of them only come in the PCIe flavor. You need to know which slot your computer has and go from there.
i checkd on the net and it said my motherboard supports PCI Express video cards.so does that mean any graphics card will work as long its in the x series?
also found that The Gigabyte GA-K8NF-9 motherboard offers owing to the nForce4-4X chipset an inexpensive all-round board with three pci slots and one PCIe 16x video card slot.can u ellaborate from here on?
