well i am planning to buy a new xbox 360, i already have a ps3 but since there is no possibility of it getting modded and the games also cost so much more i have decided to buy xbox 360, but recently i saw at one of the forums that the new xbox 360 cannot be modded coz ms has added some kind of update, i just wanted to make sure if that is true, and is there an xbox 360 that is less prone to RROD and also has more success rate after mod, in other words which xbox 360 should i buy?
All current Xbox 360's on the market can be modded to play back-up games. Details on how to do it is all in the sticky.
ok i have been searching and reading tutorials for the past 3 hours i have already checked that i have a sata compatible motherboard (4 x SATA 3Gb/s connectors supporting up to 4 SATA 3Gb/s devices), i also know now that i would need to buy a probe or build one to flash xbox, now 2 of the SATA sockets have cables attached to them, one is going to the hard drive and the other one is going to the cd drive, now i wanted to ask do i still need to buy a new SATA cable or i can use the one that is going into my DVD drive
well it's been 5 hours of searching now, i wanted to know one more thing while i was searching i came around a post in which it said that the new xbox 360 only have lite on drives and since i am planning to buy a new one so can it be said for sure that i will get a lite on drive since i am going to buy the latest model aswell, i anted to ask this so as to i can limit myself to searching for flashing of lite on drives only thanks !!!
Also if anyone could tell me if i can flash xbox360 with my motherboard my chipset is Chipset 1. North Bridge: Intel® G31 Express Chipset 2. South Bridge: Intel® ICH7
I have ICH7 and have had no luck with it. If your BIOS allows you to change SATA settings, you might get lucky. Otherwise you will need a VIA SATA CARD with the 6421 chipset.
n00biee - that signature image is way over allowed limits. The limits are in the Forum Rules which are in my signature.
Oh no thats a shame, so now i have to buy a CK3 lite with probe, VIA SATA CARD with the 6421 chipset, a connectivity kit, the list just keeps on increasing, i hope it stops right there
