please help me, im buying a ps3 80gb phat from craigslist that is supposedly 2 weeks old. how can i tell if what she is saying is true? i will be meeting in person, and the only way to test it, is to plug it in to a wall with no tv - will it show a ylod without a tv attached? or is it the same as the 360 where it will complain if it isnt connected?
A local grocery store here where I live still sells the 80GB Fat PS3 that has uncharted 1 bundled in. I guess you can call Sony and give them your serial number. They can tell you then if it is still under warranty.
He should have a receipt with date of purchase. Should/may show serial # on receipt. ylod, does not matter if it is connected to a tv.
well i just got it, it wasnt really as advertised in craigslist, but what are you going to do. its not the 80gb but the 160 and its older then 2 weeks, theres a game that was created march this year. im happy just never trust what people say, unless they have a legit receipt
Good find on the game save date. Hopefully you have the origonal receipt for warenty purposes. No spell check. Dont make fun of me, im from arkansas and we can misspell stuff. Its our legal right. Check the warenty seal also.
I would have waited on a good online deal for a new one. You just never know when you buy it from someone without a receipt. That could have been a stolen one. You never know.
I see a lot of items listed like that on CL quite often. "Only xx days/weeks old..." I'm always reserved about trusting those sellers. If it's truly just recently bought, why not just return it.
well it has a demo on it from 3/4/2009, it is in great condition no freezes, it game with kill zone 2 and socom for only $200 i can go sell it on ebay for alot more then what i payed for
