Buying a PS3 from USA (live in UK)

    yeah, but i wouldnt be too hopeful. id say that the odds of sony keeping that is 50/50 at best.

    yeah, its probably just for prototype models that usually travel alot.

    at least the games are region free i guess...i'm not too bothered about the blu-ray movies, although saying that now, maybe in the near future i will be bothered. DVDs will be around for a good few more years at least anyway. I would love the PS3 to have that region setting option though, i agree however with you guys that its most unlikely that will happen.

    That sounds promising, hopefully Sony will have that region change option. I won't get my hopes up though, i will definately find out for sure before i cancel the order.. Thanks for your help guys!!

    What do you guys think the odds are for me being able to get at least 1 PS3 when i go New York? Im going 26th December and leave 2nd January....

    I'm thinking there won't be 1 in sight...

    none, 0, zip, sh!t out of luck. its new york and xmas season. many people are filthy rich there and will buy it for their kids. maybe a small retailer in a lower middle class neighborhood would have it but it would be gone the day of or the day after recieved.
