what do people think of purchasing tvs online from online only retailers? they dont accept tv returns over 26 inches mostly and only have a manufacturers warranty.

I bought my 26" Sony online and saved about $250. I bought from www.abt.com. You can get an in-home extended warranty for up to four years. I believe their return policy is pretty good - up to 30 days.

Right now they have an anniversary sale going on for another 5% off. Great customer service too. Good luck!

I bought my 52" Sharp online and saved $400, $600 if you take into account no sales tax. :D

    Got free shipping too..

I think as long as you can test out the tv in a store like Best Buy or Circuit City and it's available for purchase online, then go ahead and do it.

Don't ever waste money on an extended warranty unless they offer a no questions asked return policy.
