I have been researching this for a few days and I am having trouble deciding which way to go on the software I will use for the pvr I want to build. I do not want to waste a whole lot of time trying one out just to realize there is something totally better out there. So far I have looked at several options but pretty much have it narrowed down to either MediaPortal, or MythTV with XMBC. Does anyone have any experience/knowledge with either that they are willing to share? I live in the U.S. Thanks in advance.
