Hey, I've had to re-install Windows XP, and I am re-installing my software. However, I tend to... misplace... my CD cases with the serial numbers on them. I've tried looking on websites that have list of them, but unfortunately these sites also double as porn site, and I'm not that kind of person.

Is there some way to find the serial numbers in the program files or bypass the serial number all together?

    Right...

There are programs that begin with a "cr***", but we cant help you with those.

I would contact microsoft if this is for real, but I wouldnt really do anything illigal with a key and operating system. The OS should never be a copy.

Doing this is illegal, but that's not to say huge swathes of people don't do it. All I will say on the matter is "bit torrent can be your friend"

Do you mean I can get a app that lets me find serial number or something or get the programs from there free?

They are called keygenerators, search bittorrent but beware for viruses, scan each download that you complete, but some actually work.

Believe it or not I've never had a virus of bit torrent. That's not to say it can't happen, but it's not as likely as you think. The dangerous bit is the site you get the torrent from!

It's like winning the lottery. However, it can happen. Getting a crackgen isnt as bad as getting a full operating system, but it is still stealing.

i guess. I don't see it as stealing, though, when you get an app created by a company who rips-off people

That's not the point though I'm afraid, it's still illegal.
