hi, i just dled the mobile phone tools, but as its going through its setup process it stops and asks to insert the disk with the file D:\Addons\widcomm.cab.......now i cant find the file anywhere. So can someone plz tell me how to either locate this file or go around it?....any help is appreciated
hi buddy i too had the same problem when it prompts u to insert the disk,like for example insert d:\addons\widcomm.cab step1 select and copy the last file name in the tree like in the above example select and copy wicomm.cab.[copy just the file name in the address bar of insert disk window] step2 in the 'insert disk' window browse to the last but one file in the tree,like in the above example browse and go to d:\addons,i;e open the file "addonns" step3 now paste the file name which u have copied in step1 in the address bar after the address already present in it.. that means u will already have " d:\addons\ " in the address bar of insert disk window paste the step1 file here...then it will become d:\addons\widcomm.cab dont forget to place a stroke before the file name to make the address tree valid. step4 now press ok..the file will be automatically detected by the setup program.. step5.. next it will ask to insert disk for some more file around 10 or 15 files..all u have to do is repeat the steps1,2,3.. and u will be done with the installation.. i found it out myself after a great deal of experiment and time killing but it worked for me..hope it will work for u.. just reply if it works for u.. regards.. junior..
