Call.of.Cthulhu.Dark.Corners.of.the.Earth -- Problem!!!!!

Can anyone help me?.... I have downloaded this game a hundred times from many different sources and everytime after I finished burning it (w/ Nero 7) and insert the cd to install it I get the same msg. "InstallShield (R) Setup Launcher has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." and it simply won't install the game. I got a similar problem with Dragonshard.
-Has anyone else encounter this problem and how to fix this?

 

go into program files folder > common files > install shield and drill down the folder until you get a version number either from the folder itself or the installshield engine file. http://consumer.installshield.com/default.asp

 

Ok, I did the steps, I found that the installshield Engine setup version is 6.31.100.1221 or just 6.31, Do i have to update the installshield I have?

 

if you have newer version so make update.

 

Thanks, I just found out there is a 11.50 version out. I sure hope that with this work cause its the 2nd game that does this to me. Thanks for the great help bro.
