Basically, I got my xbox360 modded last week, therefore it was obviously the latest hardware, I managed to play all of our old backed up games from my brother, including some new ones like Borderlands, and Batman. However, I cannot get Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 to work. I have tried downloading different files from different uploaders, I've tried using different discs including, Aone Premium, and Vertabim. But the same response is shown; when the disc is inserted, before it loads up you see on the dashboard "play DVD", and then the screen goes black, and the white background, xbox 360 logo shows up and thats it, however these backed up call of duty's work on my brother's xbox, and he has had his modified for about a year now, meaning he has older firmware.

    Please someone help me, thankyou.
    Matt.

    Hi

I have the same problem with my xbox. Most games work but CODMW2 and Tekken 6 don't, same story the Xbox reads the disk as DVD ROM. I have a Xbox Elite with Liteon Drive had the mod done about a month ago so it's new firmware on it.

My friend's got an older model, with the toshiba Rom all backup games work on his xbox, could it be the type of drive or does the game need to patched?

    Thanks for now.

Well see, my brother and his friend both have xbox premiums, and all backed up games work for them, whereas i have an xbox arcade, and so does another one of my brother's friends, and call of duty: modern warfare 2, does not work on either of ours, so maybe its something to do with that

The thing thats really different from the arcade, premium and elite model are the type of DVD ROM's it's got in. Thats why I suspect it might be that.

No they are just wave 4 games.

Unless you have the latest firmware 1.61 they wont run or you can use the wave 4 boot disc which you just download and burn. If you have a lite-on drive you have no option but to boot it with the boot disc as there is currently no firmware that will boot wave 4 games without a boot disc. The other wave 4 games are Tekken 6 and GTA stories.

All it is ixtreme is only made to run games that comply with the standard disc structure that the firmware understands, the wave 4 games ixtreme 1.6 wont run because it is thinking it isn't a standard 360 rip.

ye you will probably need a boot disc, i know i do for MW2, you could always ask whoever modded your 360 to upgrade it.

Do not patch this to wave 3 unless you want to get banned! (not saying you won't on other firmware) All you need to do is download the new abgx 1.0.2 and run the game through that. Make sure you are on at least 1.6 and use activate.iso to boot the game or simply used 1.6.1 if you have a sammy or benq. I have been playing online with a sammy 1.6.1 and benq no problems with this game.

iX firmware can now be detected (as per c4eva). c4eva is coming out with a new fw version called "Lite Touch". I'd stay offline until that comes out...or put it back to your original firmware and just buy the game b/c it's so kick ass.

Like others have said sounds lie you need the activation cd if you have 1.61 flashed onto it. If you have hiatchi 1.5 then wave 4 games work without cd.

I also believe there will be a 1.7 version out soon, which will allow for no activation cd and should solve the recent console bans.
