So I was scrolling through the leader boards, like always, just browsing around looking to see if anything had changed.. I understand that CodeMaJic and others are really good, and I understand the 19X,XXX kills. But what I don't understand is the kill streak. The guy has a 1000 kill streak. I've never seen anyone even get more than 100 kills in a game on COD:WAW, much less a 1000 kill streak..

Anyone else think something is, "fishy," about that?

Maybe he plays... what is it... Search and Destroy, and all he does is snipe, and the only maps he allows himself to play on are large expansive maps that allow him to put his sniping skills to use.

...or maybe he's actually a girl. That'd explain everything.

Well your kill streak doesn't carry over to the next rounds on Search and Destroy, so he couldn't have got it by playing that.

As far as the girl thing.. lol. Maybe? =)

Hes likely stat boosting, a very lame common practice these days. Or even possibly glitching for that matter.

odeMajic has found a way to pad stats. I have this kid on my friend list that used to rank up with him on SOCOM. He will not tell anyone how he does it though

If he's really desperate, I suppose he could have gotten another seven or so PS3s, another seven or so CoDs, turned them all on and partied together with himself, then ran around the map shooting... himself...

OMG, its crookedlung all over again! LMAO, but seriously, the max CoD5 allows is 1500 points. A 1000 kill streak would be 10000 points, far more than CoD5 allows.

I was thinking about that when I posted this thread. But I wasn't sure about the 1500 points part. Lol.

Anyways, there is no way this guy did this without some kind of cheating/glitching. I don't care who you are or how good you are, there is no way you can get a 1000 kill streak... Legally that is. =)

The guy plays nothing but bootcamp. Apparently, he has two PS3s set up with one below level 8 and he invites himself into a match and then racks up kills on newbies.

    Here's a link

I remember playing bootcamp when I got the game and seeing people in there who were at levels like 50 and 60. Incredibly weak.

Here's a YouTube link showing him playing in bootcamp:

He's playing against beginners while he has all of the perks and weapons of a lvl 65 player.

I really wish the developers would ban people from playing bootcamp who are above level 8.

For those without Cod5 but are interested in the conversation, what's Bootcamp?

Bootcamp is a game type that is SUPPOSED to be for players level 8 and under. Unfortunately, some people who aren't talented enough to play normal game modes get into bootcamp and play. However, I think it's funny when a level 65 third prestige guy gets in there and gets owned by a bunch of level 6's and 7's and 8's. lol =)

Some people don't want to play for the fun of it. They want to be top of the leader board and will do whatever it takes to get there. Doesn't matter if it's legit or not.

Just look at Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez and Roger Clemens and Jason Giambi.

Well, I can at least understand those guys. This... this is a video game. "Yay I'm at the top whoopdeefuckingdoo."

Last I remember, video gaming wasn't a sport OHWAIT there's that professional gaming thing... yeah, very sporty, that.

Well, that's cool, then. I hope he has fun being on top of the leaderboards of a game that no one will care about in four or five years.

No one will care about this game whenever Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 comes out. That is.. If it can top Modern Warfare . =)

Because they're sensible people who rightly don't care about who's at the top of a leaderboard that no one will pay any attention to.

No, I don't mean that, what I mean is that nobody cares all that much about it. I mean, is your life going to change abruptly if he's banned or anything? Is he an inspiration to you?

Unlike those baseball controversies listed above, cheating in a video game doesn't seem like that big of a deal because... it's not like gamers are exactly supposed to be shining examples of goodwill and stuff like that. They can more or less do whatever they want and their name's still not going to be well-known, so why should you worry yourself over what they do?

Real athletes can be held to loftier standards because society deems it appropriate. You shouldn't be so bothered by some guy who's getting his fifteen minutes of fame before being snuffed out by another guy who wants his fifteen minutes of fame. If you do, you'll just wear yourself out being pissed off at every nuisance that doesn't play by the rules. That's all I'm trying to say.
