I have a 26" samsung hdtv love the picture, but the sound is HORRIBLE. I read reviews saying the sound was bad, but I didn't think it would be as bad as it is. I am not trying to spend a lot of money on speakers and I know I can plug computer speakers into the headphone jack in the back of the tv. I am curious as to wether or not the sub would work since a headphone jack is intended for headphones. Any advice?

In a 2.1 system the sub will just output the low-end frequencies of the 2 channels soundscape that it receives, normally just the left hand channel. so yes.

It should work fine, infact i am doing exactly that on a samsung and it works fine no problems and the sound is perfect.
