I am following the flashing guide here http://modthatcube.pxn-os.com/main.htm. I am fine expect to the part where I have to flash the bios. I get the "Viper not found error" when I click on "Write" in flasher 1.0. Can a really experience person help me out please?

When flashing the Viper, the best thing you can do is NOT using an parallel link cable, but connect the gamecube to your pc DIRECTLY! Because with parallel cables the signal weakens if the cable is too long.

Also, try resetting the port in the Flasher menu. And check your parallel port settings either in BIOS or in your Windows System overview.

Make sure the chip isn't in stealth mode and the programmer is attached properly!

    greetings earthling! =)

I had the same problem. When i connected de programmer directly to my parallel port of my laptop. I could program the viper with cobra bios 1.3.
