CAN A SONY DRU-500A READ DVD-RAM

    I cannot find anything in the units specifications about DVD-RAM. It mentions being able to read all the usual suspects plus DVD-ROM but nothing about DVD-RAM.
    i appreciate that this is an obscure area but I would appreciate it if someone could point me in the right direction.

    As far as i know, no it does not support Dvd-Ram.

    i guess that i should have been more specific. i know that it cannot write to DVD-RAM. What i need to know is whether it will read it.

    I used to have that drive, and no it does not read or write DVD RAM.
