    Hey Thanks for the reply
Was the link you provided supposed to come up "you are not authorized to view this page" ?

Worked at the time. Now I get:
    http://a510.c.akamai.net/n/510/9950..._=1170195403_4f63da7a8ae8f572152853b19b97d311
which is a different video. In both cases it was the video currently playing.

My advice would be to install the live http headers plugin for firefox (you should already be running firefox). Fire it up, load the page, then look for the link similar to the ones I posted and it should work to save the video.

    Hmmm
This is probably just an incurable case of a professor talking to a hillbilly. Did you notice that part of the video link(which plays) ends with "large false". I have a feeling that is a security designation and the reason why I cant get your normal capture program to work on these videos.
Someone online mentioned "maybe theres a separate script that it's posting to that then gets and displays the video."

What was the purpose of posting the AKAMAI Link(which still gets "not authorized" page) ?

Is there perhaps a way to simply your instructions to a guy who speaks a bit of piglatin but no computer language? Eg, install live http headers, look for the link similar the ones, etc.

Sorry, being physically, mentally & generationally challenged makes your advice twice the work.

    Duh Best

    https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/3829/
Once installed there will be a new option under tools to start it.
This will open a new window.
Once that is open, open the page with the flash player, the live http header window will now start to capture everything that the page loads, including stuff loaded via external scripts.
Once the video starts playing you can close the window (the one with the video).
Select everything in the live http header window, copy/paste into say notepad then as I said look for the link that is similar to the ones I posted.
Copy/paste into your browser/download manager and it should download (it did here each time, but stopped working later).

Above should work for any embedded video on any site. If the page loads it, then it will show up in the live http headers window and you can download it.

Can't thank you enough for taking the time to lay it out so simply for me. Le't hear it for righteous dudes.

Youre wasting your talents. You should be a teacher, therapist...a rabbi(lol)

All the best to you in life
